2010 Summer Picnic
We had 18 folks in attendance for the picnic held back in July. It was very hot, which got to some of us, but it was fun even if warm.
David had wanted to help out by grilling chicken and they said it was good.
He worked his grill so hard it's leg fell off!
With the heat, even Goliath was being lazy as Connie gave him water.
There was plenty of good food.
Sheena hauled in a nice catfish and a bream
and Alan caught a bream as well.
Is that Green Eyes from Chickamauga Park fishing with Alan and Sheena?
Alan lights off the mortar and then runs!
Sheena also took a turn lighting the mortar and flees.
The mortar shots sent the two "chickens" running to Alan and Sheena's car where they hid.
This lab was at the site when Frank cleaned up the port-a-potty and Frank threw sticks for him then.
When we were there, he would bring anything small enough for him to drag to get us to throw it for him.
Even as it got dark, we never did wear him out.
We ended the day setting around the fire. Yep, even when it is warm out, a campfire is nice.
John Sanders, Betty and Frank Warren, Virginia and Randy Slater were the last ones there.
