Friday, August 22 in Franklin, TN. Another site is going to be dozed and a local archeological firm, DuVall & Associates, Inc., had been contracted to do a survey. Two members of the Middle Tennessee Metal Detecting Club, Tom (r) and David next to him, were there early, while the CARHA representative (Kevin) was not able to get there until noon (hey, had to go to work for a little while!).
Kevin pulled this Eagle button out.
Tom found the Burnside bullet on the left and Kevin found the button and Williams Cleaner bullet. Not much to show for a days work but along with all of the nails we recovered they knew folks had been in the area during that time period. It was fun getting to work with a new crew and maybe this will just be the first of many similar joint efforts.
