Horseshoe Bend, January 24-25, 2004

January 23 saw this group out at horseshoe Bend to attempt another dig with the grass at a much more "dig able" length. Kevin and Jill are not in this photo as Jill was putting new batteries in their GPS unit and Kevin was taking the photo.

L-R: Randy, Wayne S. and Dale (digging)
Lamar was all smiles with a coin he found
Not just any old coin but one from the first year they made silver coins in the United States. This is a 1794 with half the silver that a dime had, thus they are commonly referred to as Half Dimes. A very rare coin!

Frank B. found this brass button with a plain face.
Wayne W. found 11 of these balls all in one area where they had been dropped.
Two sizes of Canister balls were found
